restaurant US rangers.

brought friends along to try the food here since we quite like it from the last visit. this time we order escargot, italian seafood soup, alaska fish n chips and smoked duck.

i like the escargot a lot, very cheesy and the meat is fresh, six is just not enough~ lol. didn’t like the soup as much though ‘cos the taste is a little weird, sourish…

the fish n chips was okay, i actually didn’t know it was fish n chips because it was written as alaska fish on the menu and the waitress recommended it. i am not a fan of fried stuff, so this is just okay, didn’t like the thick batter.

smoked duck is the day’s special and this is really good. soft boneless meat with brown sauce… it’s perfect. i love this a lot.

the meal was okay overall, definitely need to know what to order from the menu as not all of the dishes are nice. but i like that their menu has lots of choices and it’s different from other western restaurants around.

it’s been a while since my last visit.. this time for EdeNz’s family mother’s day celebration. for some reason, i have been going to japanese restaurant a lot last month.

ordered sashimi, salmon temaki, salmon no mentaiko roll, grilled yam, unagi don and chiraishi sushi for both of us, his family ordered dinner sets mostly…

love the sashimi and temaki a lot, very fresh and thick slice of salmon and yummy ikura! the roll is just okay… and i love the grilled yam, so so so crispy and it’s perfect with mayo. unagi don and chiraishi sushi is delicious as well, really enjoyed the food.

this is a very very simple and noisy and fast game. there’s a stack of cards where you just distribute to everyone and everyone takes turn to flip open a card at a time. when there’s 5 of the same object on the table, the fastest the hit the bell gets all the cards with the object and the person with most cards wins.

we were crazy when playing the game, everyone just slams on the bell, there’s no sound from it ‘cos all the hands are covering it, ahaha… it was really funny and i laughed like crazy. a fast reaction game is always super crazy. XD

this board game is rather simple… save humans and pets from a burning building, you get to play fire rescue, hehe.

there’s simple and advanced mode, we only played the simple mode since it’s the first time for a few of us. the game was quite easy, i guess we had enough players and is quite lucky. it was really hard for two players though.

the game is quite fast paced and very entertaining and since it’s a team effort, it was really funny when everyone try to argue which move is best for winning the game, ahaha… would definitely recommend this game for everyone for some exciting and entertaining time with friends and family.

i finally received them last week! from japan~ ehehe. i bought both versions ‘cos i can’t decide which to get, the limited edition comes with a dvd with behind the scene for MVs and the normal edition has an extra song in korean, written by him, called love letter.

i have been listening to the album so many times, every day, since i got them. i like all the songs in this album, a few different genre, he portrays each song and its meaning very well with his versatile voice. my favorite song would be turn off, very meaningful lyrics and really nice music.

here’s the link to the MVs for two title songs of this album, nature boy and indian summer, both of these songs have really catchy music and lyrics, makes me wanna dance!

bought this a while ago cos i was having a really bad breakout and the sales person says this would help. i have used it for quite a while, it helps but not as fast i would like it to… and it’s quite tedious to apply since you need to take the powder out then slowly apply on the pimples… and sometimes it stings. >_<

still looking for a better way to cure breakouts… ahhhh i hate pimples!

i have always love the steamboat set here, the portion is just nice for two people to enjoy a simple and yummy steamboat. they changed the ingredients a little though, there’s pumpkins now, no meatballs, there’a angry bird fish ball (=_=”) and some glutinous rice that i dislike.

my favorite is still the sauce and the glass noodles and the soup… it’s just so sweet and natural with all the vegetables taste.

first time watching movie in beanieplex, a new concept… where you sit or lay down on beanies instead of chairs. it’s very relaxing and comfy, wished i had blanket and teddy ahahaha!

will definitely go again when a nice movie come up! =)

it’s been quite long since i last visit this restaurant, decided to go for mother’s day celeberation since my mom wanted japanese food. the interior of the restaurant is nice, decorated with various japanese feel items, even had a small pond in the middle.

we ordered salmon sashimi platter which has salmon, salmon belly and fish roe… it’s really fresh! my parents certainly enjoyed this a lot. wanted unagi set but eel is out of stock that day. i had xenri bento, so many many dishes! it was really yummy, love it. and the sushi and tempura set is also great with so many sushi and crispy tempura.

the food here is great, though the price is a little too expensive. but the environment is nice with all the decorations… service wasn’t good though, they responded to our request too slowly and make some mistakes.

i would love to go again for the buffet on sunday, i really liked it the last time we came for that, the variety is good and all the food is top notch, unlike many japanese buffets out there nowadays which is too commercialized.

decided to visit this restaurant because it sounds unique, we don’t really see much japanese bbq place around here, and also it was on groupon.

each table has a bbq stove in the middle and they use charcoal to light up the fire, it’s really hot to be sitting in front of it… we ordered chicken and pork belly meat, which is served with assorted vegetables. there’s also clear soup for us to cook the vegetables.

the meat is lightly marinated, the taste was quite good and i like the mushrooms, ehehe… the meal is not very filling but just nice. and we get ice cream as well for dessert. i would say this place is okay, but the pricing is steep given the ambiance and the service isn’t really nice.

was having late lunch here few weeks ago, they have lots of promotion sets during this time, good for us. =)

love their garlic bread a lot, it’s crispy and lots of garlic butter on it, very fragrant. and i have not drank hk style tea for quite a while..

the japanese curry chicken rice was okay, though i prefer more sauce ‘cos the rice is a little hard. prawn noodle is okay too, nothing to shout about. egg tarts are just so-so though. i prefer more crispy crust, ehehe…

we have been visiting this place quite frequently, i just feel like having dessert these days, ehehe…

cheese tarts were awesome, it has a thin crispy layer on top and soft cheese inside, smells and taste good… cheeese, me loves! and cold dessert with grass jelly or sago and fruits is yummylicious as usual. definitely a nice place to hang out.

a quick lunch before boarding our flight back home, decided to have it at this chinese restaurant at terminal 3, since it’s quite early for lunch, the place is practically empty.

we ordered the signature herbal roast duck rice with daily boiled soup and stewed ee-fu noodle with conpoy and golden mushroom. the food is tasty and quite appetizing, but nothing spectacular. i love the noodle though, it’s quite healthy and i love the mushrooms a lot.

it’s a nice lunch, satisfying and filling. and it’s time to go home, ending my short vacation in singapore.

singapore tourist pass.

this pass allows you to use mrt and buses as many times as you want and it’s sold by number of days. both of us got it and find it really convenient, no need to think about reload the value or anything, just go wherever we want… XD

it’s not necessarily cheaper though, unless you travel a lot.

we arrived a little earlier at the airport on tuesday morning, just to explore around. walked around terminal 2 and 3, not many people around. lots of shops around, it’s really big place to explore…

decided to have lunch before boarding after walking for a bit.
