tiong bahru bakery.
this famous bakery in singapore is just walking distance (super near!) from my hotel, so we went there for breakfast on monday morning, before heading to universal studio singapore (yay!)
despite being a monday, there’s still quite a lot of customers in the bakery, some enjoying their breakfast, some queuing up to get takeaways, i can only imagine the crowd on a weekend, must be crazy.
we ordered a croissant and quiche and got cappuccino and magic for drinks. the coffee comes with a nice art on top, so pretty~ both of them taste good, cappuccino is very foamy with light coffe taste while magic is darker and has a slight bitter taste which i like.
the croissant is their best selling item, i have no doubt for that… the layering is so thin and super crispy and soooooo fragrant, you can smell the butter just by going near it. while it’s very crispy outside, the inside is so fluffy with air between some layers… just simply the best croissant i ever tasted, and it’s served fresh ‘cos it’s still warm.
the quiche was nice as well, very soft pudding like texture surrounded by crispy tart crust, it’s filling but not too heavy and taste yummy~
both of us really enjoyed the wonderful breakfast, wished we could eat more because there’s so many more different pastries to try and they are all look super tempting, ahaha… the only down side is the price… it’s a little steep for pastries, but it’s really hard to resist delicious food. XD it’s definitely a must-go place when visiting singapore, simply awesome.
piri piri flaming chicken, don muang airport.
while waiting for boarding to go home, had breakfast at this restaurant because they serve western style breakfast ehehe…
orange juice, bacon, eggs and toast -> happy and satisfied me, ready to take a nap during my flight home. ^_^
beautiful breakfast.
on the third day of my trip, another fancy breakfast at the hotel… the buffet line has quite a lot of choices, didn’t try all but did enjoy myself with some yummy food! and so pretty as well… ehehe…
breakfast at swissotel le concorde, bangkok.
it was quite a nice morning, enjoyed yummy breakfast at the hotel, lots of food to choose from, only picked those that i like, ehehe… it was nice to have such rich breakfast once a while.
breakfast at starbucks.
on thursday morning before my flight to bangkok. my first time trying he herbal potato roll, it was okay, quite plain but very filling. and hot chocolate is yummylicious as usual, and very warm. =)
assorted pastries from délifrance.
my breakfast at mac workshop last week, yum yum! love the mini fruit tarts a lot.
breakfast at kertiyasa bungalows, ubud, bali.
the breakfast here is served with different set, there are 3 different sets to choose from… american, continental and indonesian. i picked american since i love eggs and bacon/sausages. it comes with fresh fruit juice, coffee/tea, fruit salad, toast and egg with bacon/sausages.
it’s a very heavy breakfast, very yummy as well. while we were having breakfast on the first day, a monkey actually came and took a banana bun away. it happened real fast so no photos. but the monkey’s aim is really good haha…
half boiled egg toast @ old town kopitiam.
early morning, before checking in, ate breakfast at lcct airport. it’s been a really long time since i visit this place ‘cos i don’t really like the food here and i think it’s overrated and overpriced.
anyway, the toast was so-so, it’s really dry, thankfully the eggs are okay so at least it make the toast taste a little better. i personally prefer toast that has crispy bread crust and soft and fluffy inside.
and after the meal, it’s time to check in and wait for my flight to bali! =D
el meson, bangsar.
it’s a spanish restaurant that serves many different western food, they serve alcohol as well. we have been here before and love the food, so we decided to visit again.
this time we went for the breakfast set they offer, toast, mushrooms, sausage, bacon, baked beans, mash potato and egg. everything is nice, the sausage and egg is the best for me. and it’s quite filling.
drinks are kinda pricey though, ordered iced green tea and apple juice, it’s just normal but double the price. it’s quite nice overall, the food here is definitely worth trying!
chicken toastie.
new breakfast item from starbucks, though it’s also available at other times. it’s cheaper during morning. the bread is quite thick but very fluffy, and it’s a little spicy, i like that.
definitely a good match with a cup of coffee to start your day. =)
english breakfast.
at a cafe near where my cousin lives (can’t recall the name again…) the cafe is not very big, cozy feel and quite a number of customers even during weekday morning.
the portion is quite big with baked beans, egg, sausage, has brown, bacon, spinach and toast. it was really good, i love it a lot. the coffee here is already great. lovely breakfast, i went back for another 2 mornings i think… hehehe, miss this very much!
costa.
for breakfast. ordered costa light and ham and cheese panini. the coffee is really light so i don’t quite like it. the panini is good, lots of filling and fragrant bread.
went back another few times for breakfast as well to try different things on the menu. enjoying lovely breakfast on a beautiful morning during vacation is the best. =)
egg mcmuffin breakfast from mcdonald’s.
i like this a lot, so sometimes i would get it when i need to go to work in the morning, coffee doesn’t really help to keep me awake but still… =p
chicken cup noodles with egg.
sometimes my breakfast in boston. heh, i like that it’s a smaller portion and really easy to prepare since i generally do not have much time in the morning. =p
